Oh boy have I got a tale for you ladies!
Today when I was out watering the plants I decided to get a snack, so I picked up an apple from our fruit basket. After the plants were watered I set on the porch to finish the apple. When it was eaten I set the apple core beside me, but it fell off the porch.
As I bent down to pick it up Julia, our chicken, rushed over and snatched the apple away. She ran off and almost made it safe under the porch, but was quickly ambushed. Tilly ran up and stole it from Julia's mouth. Then along came Cleo who began fighting with Tilly over the apple. The fighting continued.
After about a minute of fighting between Cleo and Tilly Julia began to sneak into enemy territory. While Cleo and Tilly squabbled Julia reached in and plucked the apple core right out from under their noses. She began running, but she had no hope of getting away. Cleo and Tilly were right behing her. Seeing this Julia threw down the apple and fled. When witnessing this I thought "Oh what crazy chicken we have!".

July Update!
Hello Ladies,
Its time for our July Monthly Update. (Looks all important with the capital letters doesn't it?)
Well for starters we now have kitten names. Ash, Abigail, and Angelina. Mom thought of them.
And we picked up our new baby chicks at Russells Feed and Supply store. We had 2 Black Australorps, 1 silver Sebright, and 1 gold Sebright. Sadly our sweet little silver one didn't make it.You know those kind of things happen with baby chicks a lot, but we really missed the little Sebright so Mom had me place an order for 2 more. They are amazingly cute and the Sebrights are so tiny. They are the smallest chicks we have gotten yet.
They have names too! The Australorps are Cher and Dianna Ross. The gold Sebright is Cyndi Lauper, and one of the silver Sebrights will be Stevie Nicks. We will have to think about the other one.
